A redescription of the angular: winged katydid, Microcentrum louisianum Hebard, (Orthoptera, Phaneropterinae)

The male of Microcentrum louisianum, originally described from a single adult specimen, is redescribed documenting variation in important taxomomic characters. The female is described for the first time. Characteristics separating this species from the closely related M. retinerve are summarized.
