Zusammenfassung:In this paper we consider the problem of sequentially applying v treatments to n experimental units over time or space and where there may be an unknown trend effect which can be expressed as a polynomial function of the order in which the observations are taken. Methods are given for constructing unequally replicated designs which are optimal in the presence of a linear trend as well as methods for constructing equally replicated designs which are optimal in the presence of higher degree polynomial trends.
