Additions to the Vascular Flora of the Carolinas. II

Unpublished distributional records for the Carolinas are listed. Thirteen state records are listed including the nine escapes, Acer platanoides L., Amaranthus albus L., Fagopyrum esculentum Moench, Forsythia viridissima Lindley, Lagerstroemia indica L., Malus pumila Miller, Picea abies Karsten, Pinus resinosa Aiton, Salix alba L. var. tristis Gaudin; and the four native species, Eriogonum tomentosum Michaux, Panicum lithophilum Swallen, Philadelphus hirsutus Nuttall, and Ptilimnium fluviatile (Rose) Mathias. Five species new to the Blue Ridge Province are included: the three escapes—Elaeagnus pungens Thunb., Gymnocladus dioica (L.) K. Koch, and Ornithogalum umbellatum L.—and the two natives—Bromus catharticus Vahl. and Gentiana catesbaei Walter. One species new to the Piedmont Province is included: Polygonum sachalinense F. Schmidt. Specimens, unless another herbarium is cited, are deposited in the herbarium at Western Carolina University. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill also has a specimen of some collections.
