Additions to the Vascular Flora of the Carolinas. I

Unpublished county distributional records for the Carolinas including 285 county records from 246 taxa of 80 families of vascular plants are listed. The list includes two escapes, Iris sanguinea Donn and Hemerocallis flava L., that are new to the flora of the Carolinas, and twelve taxa new to the Blue Ridge Province: Asplenium heterochroum × resiliens, Arenaria uniflora (Walter) Muhl., Dianthus barbatus L., Lotus corniculatus L., Wisteria floribunda (Willd.) DC., Quercus nigra L., Iris germanica L., Sisyrinchium arenicola Bickn., Ornithogallum umbellatum L., Prunus umbellata Ell., Saururus cernuus L., and Viola tricolor L. Specimens are deposited at Western Carolina University and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
