Zusammenfassung: | Larvae of Manduca sexta were selected early in the fourth instar in groups of 30 and were subsequently fed a synthetic diet containing from 10-1 to 105 ppm of diflubenzuron. Larvae received the chemical for 48 hours and were observed until they died or emerged as adults. Treated larvae died at the time of molting into the 5th instar, during the prepupal period, or during the pupal period. All adults which emerged were smaller than untreated controls. No toxic effects were noted during the intermolt period even at concentrations of diflubenzuron up to 105 M. |
