Zusammenfassung:A new Polish legislative system, that introduced a responsibility for generated packaging waste has been set in place in 2002. The system is based upon the Rules set out by Directive 94/62/EC. In the system, entrepreneurs introducing packaged goods to the market are required to obtain a legally set recycling and recovery rates. This responsibility may be fulfilled by either delivering own waste to recycling and recovery plants, paying the product fees to regional marshals office (more expensive option) or by paying a fee to a recovery organisation.
