Contributions and contradictions of Einstein – synthesis of knowledge of the West with wisdom of the East

Some of the important contributions of Einstein and their impact on advancements of science for the next hundred years since 1905, have been briefly outlined. The paradox in the scientist of the century versus his academic excellence has also been touched upon vis-à-vis contradictions in his personal bias and life.
