Zusammenfassung:An interesting paper published by an earlier Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) team in Current Science and elsewhere dealt with data of criticality of minor actinide nuclides and their relevance to the long-lived-fission-waste problem. The purpose of the present article is to communicate the changes in the results of criticality calculation of 231Pa due to the use of more recent and improved neutron–nuclear interaction cross-section data. The new results of criticality for 231Pa based on improved basic data differ significantly from those published earlier by the BARC team.
