Zusammenfassung: | The protective effect of Liv.52 and Liv.100 against in vitro peroxidation induced by carbon tetrachloride in rat liver homogenate has been studied. Lipid peroxidation was measured in terms of thio-barbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), and reduced glutathione was also assayed. Addition of the two polyherbal formulations, Liv.52 and Liv.100, inhibited the peroxidation effect of carbon tetrachloride in a dose and time-dependent manner. The results suggest on the antioxidant potential of Liv.52 and Liv.100. Liv.100 is a new ayurvedic formulation. |
