THERMAL RESPONSES IN CIRRHINA MRIGALA FRY
A study has been made of rates of mortality in Cirrhina mrigala fry exposed to elevated water temperatures ranging from 30 to 39° C. The medium lethal temperature was found to be 37·8° C. Significant differences in thermal responses were observed between fry and fingerlings. A high rate of mortality...

Zusammenfassung: | A study has been made of rates of mortality in Cirrhina mrigala fry exposed to elevated water temperatures ranging from 30 to 39° C. The medium lethal temperature was found to be 37·8° C. Significant differences in thermal responses were observed between fry and fingerlings. A high rate of mortality was observed when fry were returned to non-lethal temperatures after being exposed to thermal shock at 38·0° C and 39·2° C. |
