Zusammenfassung: | This paper deals with positive one time experiences with transformative potential for the better. Peak experiences historically have been ignored by psychologists, Social workers, and health professionals, much greater attention was paid to "negative" than to "positive" events. One time negative experience and its outcome like trauma has been researched extensively. Lately Corrective or compensatory complements to the above tend to occur within different systems lead researchers and theorists to see the potential in positive experiences. The present paper represents a step further in this "positive" direction, balancing negative research, study and experience of trauma with research of Peak Experience. The paper will present the phenomenon of peak experience by the different paradigms, definitions, characteristics implications and effect. It will offer the term Positive Peak Experience to effulge the different definitions and unite the phenomena of intensive one time positive experience contributing clarity and understanding to these phenomena. Recent researches develop an interest in studying positive peak experience understanding that if these experiences are attended to more fully, honored. treasured, encouraged, and worked with deeply and intensively they could help bring about positive transformative changes. Academic research of these phenomena is essential for understanding the potential of these anomal fascinating experiences and turning this knowledge into practice within education and therapy. |
