THE AFRICAN POTATO (HYPOXIS HEMEROCALLIDEA): IDENTITY AND STATUS IN ZIMBABWE

The curative use of Hypoxis hemerocallidea in southern Africa is reviewed. Hypoxis is an overexploited genus in Zimbabwe, and species misidentification is common. Notes on conservation status are provided.
