PLUTARCO NEL "DE MUSICA"

The investigation of Plutarchean and non-Plutarchean elements in the De musica leads us to argue in favour of the almost unanimous claim that this text is not authentic. The work seems to date back to two centuries later and its attribution to Plutarch must be due to a mistake rather than forgery.
