In this paper dispursed informations on the history of London hospitals have been arranged systematically for the use of medical students. It was especially intended to see the different types of charity institutions in relation to political and economic tendencies and also to describe exactly their site and architectonic appearance. The survey begins with the Norman Conquest and ends in the Age of Reformation with Henry VIII's Royal Hospitals. A continuation is to follow.
