Zusammenfassung:A new definition concerning the morphological analysis of ‮יבִהָ‬ in Ruth 3:15 is made taking into the account the rabbinic and masoretic evidence. This suggestion is based on relevant information on the spelling and gender of the word, that has been ignored in the explanation commonly given to it. According to the evidence, the word should be connected to the root ‮אוב‬ and understood as feminine, in spite of its masculine form.
