Salmonellosis in a Captive Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) Due to Salmonella choleraesuis

A fatal case of salmonellosis in a captive crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) is reported. Salmonella choleraesuis was isolated from the lung, liver, intestine, and heart blood of the animal. This is the first report of isolation of this organism from a crocodile in Nigeria.
