Zusammenfassung:Lower Paleozoic organophosphatic microfossils assigned to Prooneotodus? tenuis (Müller) and grasping spines of modern Chaetognatha are compared and their strong morphological and structural similarity is shown. Internal structure of both fossil and Recent spines is described. A close relationship of P.? tenuis, and probably other protoconodonts, with Chaetognatha is suggested.
