Zusammenfassung: | A new species of aniliid snake is described from the Upper Cretaceous Fruitland Formation thirty miles southwest of Farmington, New Mexico. It is represented by a single complete vertebra from one of four sites where more than 7,000 fossil vertebrates were recovered in screen-washing operations. Associated vertebrates include sharks, bony fishes, amphibians, reptiles and mammals similar to those obtained from a number of other Late Cretaceous sites in the Rocky Mountain region. |
