Zusammenfassung:Distinctive two-spined trilobite pygidia which have been erroneously identified as Odontocephalus, are here partly assigned to the new proetid genus, Humeia, which belongs to the family Dechenellidae. This genus is represented by the species, Humeia merga n. sp. from the Hume Formation and its correlatives in the Northwest Territories and by the species, Humeia retusa (Ormiston, 1967) n. comb. from the Blue Fiord Formation of the District of Franklin.
