Acrothoracican Barnacles in Paleozoic Myalinids

Trypetesa caveata, n. sp., is described from myalinid pelecypods from the Pennsylvanian and lowermost Permian of Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. The single slit-like aperture and fan-shaped burrow indicates its relationship to living species of this genus.
