Zusammenfassung: | This chapter, adapted from a 2015 global study conducted by the International Center for Transitional Justice, identifies the impacts of and government responses to enforced disappearances on women. Informed by primary research, including interviews with women victims in Nepal and Lebanon, the chapter surveys experiences from thirty-one countries to identify how transitional justice initiatives can better respond to women’s needs and experiences related to enforced disappearances.
