Zusammenfassung: | During the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt it was important for me to remain focused on our mission, which is to ensure that participants’ and their families’ needs continued to be met. For those that were able to come, wanted to come, needed to come, we would be there. We would ensure there were “safe distances” in place and not “social distancing.” “Safe distances” included the safety of cleaning tables, washing hands, and fogging the center with disinfectant. “Social distancing” would have meant that our participants would miss encouragement, cognitive stimulation, and the love that they receive from each other.
