In Petropavlovsk, we had to wait several days for our Stolypin carriage to be attached to the train heading to Karaganda. The journey took at least seven days and it was extremely exhausting for me. For the whole time during transit I suffered from constipation and stomach pains. Finally, we arrived at Karaganda. We spent one day at the town’s prison, where I was finally able to relieve myself and begin to feel much better. Then we were taken to the third division of Sand forced labor camp.
