Zusammenfassung: | We define selfies as images or videos that one takes of oneself, primarily alone, but sometimes among a group of others. Manovich’s 2015 study of selfies found that only about 4% of the images posted on Instagram in a single week were selfies. While that is a relatively small percentage of the overall vast number images captured, it nonetheless translates into about three-quarters of a billion pictures that currently reside on Instagram.
