The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada held its closing event in Ottawa from May 31– June 3, 2015. On June 2, a summary of the Commissioners’ findings on Indian³ residential schools was released in an official ceremony that was broadcasted in major cities across the country. In Ottawa, starting on May 31, the calendar of events was dense, meaningful, and moving. It included community actions of remembering, reconciliation, learning, and celebration, which reached its high point on June 3.
