Feminist Organising for Peace

This chapter suggests that ‘feminist organising for peace’ is a feminist response to war and a way to resist violence. In presenting this solution, I engage with research about failed attempts to pursue successful solutions to armed conflict. Despite difficulties in feminist organising to achieve peace arrangements, feminist organising within civil society is a common and necessary reaction to armed violence. Feminist organising offers a practical way for ordinary women to engage in everyday politics and to resist war.
