My own contribution there was a simple reflection on the ideas of change and transition in gender relations in Papua New Guinea, the country in which I have conducted most of my research. In introducing the chapters I have retained many of my initial observations about transformations of gender relations in Papua New Guinea, but have attempted to draw comparisons in order to illustrate broad themes that have been the subjects of inquiry and the markers of changing |
