Liken the Scriptures

The Book of Mormon’s first hero and prophet, Nephi, states in 1 Nephi 19:23 that readers of the book should “liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning,” meaning that we should see how sacred stories apply to our personal lives. As an active Mormon, I struggled to find characters and situations I identified with.
