Crepuscular Confusion

Corazzini, Gozzano, Saba, Moretti, Palazzeschi, F.M. Martini.² Let’s join together these six little brothers belonging to the small Italian family of contemporary poetry; otherwise, one by one, they will get lost. Let’s join them together, even if it is likely that one of the little brothers will raise his bald little head and, staring at me with terrified, big fearful eyes, will ask me in a high-pitched voice: Saba and Gozzano? Palazzeschi and Corazzini? How could they ever get along? Because it’s well known that the six little brothers look so much alike that family friends mistake them for one
