Zusammenfassung: | The C2 Project is a Spanish–Egyptian mission directed by José-R. Pérez-Accino (Universidad Complutense, Madrid) and Hisham El Leithy (CEDAE, Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism, Egypt), currently working at the so-called Royal Cache wadi, immediately south of Deir al-Bahari bay, on the Theban Western Bank. The project aims to survey the graffiti inscribed on the mountainside and attempts to identify and understand the human activity carried out at this location in pharaonic times.
The Royal Cache, or Royal Cachette, referring to Tomb TT 320, which gives the wadi its current name, was discovered around 1871 by the Abd al-Rasoul brothers. |
