Zusammenfassung: | Economic problems are never merely intellectual puzzles. At their core, economic problems are problems because they impact people’s lives and the Earth’s ecosystem more broadly. The ultimate goal of economists’ work is to improve economic systems of resource extraction, production, distribution, consumption and waste disposal through which societies provision themselves, so that people can better achieve what they find important. In other words, what they define to be a higher quality of life.
