On March 25, 2006, several UCLA queer Latinx and Chicanx student activists decided that they needed to show their presence at the immigration march in downtown Los Angeles. The jotería committee, along with other queer Latinx organizations, gathered together at the march to show that queer people were part of the struggle too.
