Zusammenfassung:This collection explores the issue of supporting graduate student writers from two intersecting perspectives that constitute each part of the book: (1) the lived experiences of graduate students from historically marginalized groups and (2) research about strategies for “success.” Part 1: Voices narratives vividly illustrate the problem of isolation as a consequence of intensive research and writing tasks required at the graduate level. Loneliness, of course, typically characterizes the graduate school experience.
