Zusammenfassung: | In 1934, the year of the passage of the Indian Reorganization Act, I was in a student party doing research on Klamath Indian Reservation in southern Oregon. We were told by our teacher and leader, “Do not go near the Indian agency, because, if you do, the Indian people will not talk to you.” This excited my curiosity. The following year I came back to see what the Klamath Agency was like.
