Zusammenfassung:A 17 pound fragment of the Pierceville #2, Kansas, oxidized siderite, when sectioned, displayed an unusual structure. Three‐fourths of the mass exhibited medium oxahedral, the remaining one‐fourth, hexahedral crystallization. The two dissimilar crystallization patterns (and by inference, dissimilar chemical compositions) existing within the same mass were separated one from the other by borders of schreibersite which surrounded the hexahedral areas. Implications of the existence of such diverse supra‐crystalline structure in relation to currently listed multiple falls of iron meteorites are noted. Further investigation is indicated.
