Zusammenfassung:Mystic Seaport Museum is dedicated to keeping alive the traditions of American maritime history. Located in Mystic, CT which was a major shipbuilding center from the 17th to the 19th centuries, the museum was started in 1929 as the Marine Historical Assn. The museum consists of 41 exhibit buildings on 17 acres as well as four large ships on which visitors can learn about life at sea. These ships include the Charles W. Morgan, the only 19th-century wooden whaling ship still in existence.
