Zusammenfassung:The magnetic and electronic properties of double perovskite Sr 2-x La x VMoO 6 ($x = 0.9{\mbox{--}}1.2$) polycrystalline bulk samples have been investigated. Magnetization and electrical resistivity measurements indicate that Sr 2-x La x VMoO 6 is an antiferromagnetic metal with an antiferromagnetic transition temperature in the range 123--146 K. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements reveal that Mo has a tetravalent state (Mo 4+ ) and V has a trivalent state (V 3+ ) in SrLaVMoO 6 . These results indicate that V 3+ (3d 2 ) ions are antiferromagnetically coupled with Mo 4+ (4d 2 ) ions. Electron-doping effects of Sr 2-x La x VMoO 6 by La substitution differed from those of half-metallic Sr 2-x La x FeMoO 6 . This can be qualitatively explained by considering the different electron-doped orbitals and ordering ratios of B-site ions between Sr 2-x La x VMoO 6 and Sr 2-x La x FeMoO 6 (Mo/V or Mo/Fe).
