Zusammenfassung: | An investigation was made of the lasing characteristics of solutions of various new dyes in the coumarin, naphthalimide, and benzanthrone classes pumped transversely by the second harmonic of ruby laser radiation. Lasing in the blue, green, and red parts of the spectrum was obtained for most of the compounds studied. A comparison was made between these materials and laser dyes widely used in these spectral ranges. The compounds studied included some with a lasing efficiency substantially higher than uranin in the green and cresyl violet in the red, and with a photostability not inferior to these two. |
