Zusammenfassung:Cardiovascular disease (CVD) has emerged as one of the major health problem all over the world. In this study, statistical analysis is performed to identify the association of diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, sex, and age with CVDs. A total of 710 patients are examined and their clinical parameters are collected. The datas are recorded and analyzed using R-studio. The analysis suggests that age, sex, hypertension, and diabetes are important risk factors for the occurrence of CVDs. The results of cases and controls are compared by chi-square test. Correlation of individual risk factor with carotid intima media thickness (CIMT) is done by Pearson’s correlation. Prediction of CVDs through measurement of CIMT from independent variables like risk factors is done using logistic regression model. The accuracy of the model is found to be 72.51%.
