Zusammenfassung:3-D Modeling of a Zn-air battery was performed, using COMSOL Multiphysics software, to simulate its discharge and charge processes. The modeling was validated by comparing simulated electrochemical performance with experimental test results. The model was then used to investigate the current distribution across Zn electrode surface and to help explain its thickness change after cycling tests. The structure of the Zn-air battery was optimized to increase spatial utility and efficiency. Finally, a flowing electrolyte was simulated to facilitate uniform Zn electrodeposition.
