Zusammenfassung: | This article uses a case study approach to explore issues in career development provision for resettled refugees in the UK, with particularly reference to the role of grassroots organisations in meeting such needs. Using the Afghanistan and Central Asian Association as a case study, we shed light on the way voluntary organisations support their users in accessing employment, as well as other components of career development. Possible ways for such organisations to complement the work of public employment services with culturally tailored approaches are considered and issues arising identified. |
