A New Nematogn-Like Nitroxide Free Radical To Probe The Structure And Dynamics Of Nematic Liquid Crsytals

The preparation of a new mematogen-like nitroxide spin probe N-(p-methoxyenxylidene)-4-amino-2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethylpiperidino-l-oxyl is described. Initial electron paramagnetic resonance results are reported for this probe introduced into the nematogen MBBA.
