Towards a standardization of the wechsler memory scale form 2

Data were obtained from 600 subjects, aged 20 to 79, with 100 subjects (50 males and 50 females) in each of the 6 age bands 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-79. Zusammenfassung:Data were obtained from 600 subjects, aged 20 to 79, with 100 subjects (50 males and 50 females) in each of the 6 age bands 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-79. Subjects were patients at university teaching hospitals with no known neurological or psychiatric disorder and were assessed on a battery of Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices, Wechsler Memory Scale Form 2, an adult vocabulary test and the Simpson Memory Pictures and Shapes. This is the first attempt at a standardization of Form 2 of the Memory Scale and scaled scores are reported for each subtest as well as the total scale for each age group with corrections for sex differences where appropriate. The relations between the Memory Scale and the other tests in the battery are examined by factor analysis.
