Zusammenfassung: | Earlier, phase transition temperatures of triterpene fatty acid esters were studied for a few new triperpenes in this laboratory. In this present investigation, fatty acid esters of lupeol were synthesised and their liquid crystal transition temperatures were determined using a polarising microscope and were further confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry (Perkin-Elmer DSC-4) and the mesophases & the colors of the textures were recorded. |
