Rapid communication: In vivo exposure of rats to GSM-modulated microwaves: flow cytometry analysis of lymphocyte subpopulations and of mitogen stimulation

The effects of GSM-modulated microwaves on lymphocyte subpopulations of Sprague-Dawley rats and their normal mitogenic responses were investigated using flow cytometry analysis and a colorimetric method. No alterations were found in the surface phenotype of splenic lymphocytes or in their mitogenic activity, indicating that low-level pulsed microwaves do not seem to a ect the integrity of the immune system.
