Zusammenfassung:The main disadvantages reducing the efficiency of mechanised CO sub 2 welding are large burn-out and splashing of electrode metal, which in turn, increase the consumption of welding materials, and decrease the service life of welding equipment and labor productivity. These are also accompanied by a decrease of the quality of appearance of the component and by an increase of the labor content of production. Up to now, the heat transfer from droplets into the welded metal has been studied insufficiently. In this work, the authors used the procedure proposed in Reference 1-3 to calculate the heat transfer from droplets to the welded metal in the area of contact with the latter. To construct the general pattern of heat exchange to the welded metal, experiments were carried out to determine the coefficient of concentation of the droplets over the sruface of the welded metal in single- and multipass CO sub 2 welding. Material: VSt3 low carbon steel.
