Zusammenfassung: | Many authoritative and advisory bodies, including the Anderson Committee, the Treadway Commission, and the Accounting Education Change Commission, have suggested that colleges and universities re-evaluate their accounting curricula, generally stressing that programs should emphasize writing skills. Technological improvements, including advances in microcomputer technology, could also help buttress these skills. After showing why accounting programs should strengthen their students' writing skills, this study demonstrates one possible way to do so, including an illustration of how writing skills can be assessed. |
