Straightforward Synthesis of 6-Thiodeoxyguanosine and Its Incorporation into Oligodeoxynucleotides

A convenient synthesis of 6-thiodeoxyguanosine from deoxyguanosine is described. Simple methods for incorporating 6-thiodeoxyguanosine into oligodeoxynucleotides are also given.
