Zusammenfassung:Complexes of copper(II), cobalt(II) and oxovanadium(IV) with Schiff bases obtained by condensing salicylaldehyde, substituted salicylaldehydes and 2-hydroxy-l-naphthaldehyde with 2-aminopyridine (ampy), 5-methyI-2-aminopyridine (CH 3 ampy) and 4-aminopyridine (4-ampy) have been synthesized and characterized. Two types of complexes [MLCI(H 2 O) n and ML 2 ] were obtained, depending on whether the metal chloride or metal acetate was used for the synthesis. There is evidence that the three donor atoms are involved in bonding, with the phenoxide O and one of the N atoms bonding strongly to the same metal while the other N atom is involved in bridging.
