Repeated reading: A strategy for enhancing fluency and fostering expertise

The concept of repeated practice in reading connected discourse in order to develop fluency is presented. Helping students develop expertise by repeated reading involves increases in knowledge of content & strategy, motivation for continued practice, & providing activities for a wide range of difficulty levels.
